In order to explore the Ancient Watchtower we need a torch and 3 minutes to send in one of our heroes. We should already have a torch in our vault since the beginning of the game. If you do not have a torch then you can make one at the woodshop. If you do not want to wait for the 3 minutes, then you can buy the time back by using 2 crowns (this is not recommended, 3 minutes isn't that long to wait). The rewards for exploring are listed on the right side of the screen along with their chances of being found... 100% chance of getting 15xp, about 38% chance of getting a Forest Charm, and about 2% chance for an Opal Dragon Horn Ring. These percentages are different for each hero.
