Waking Violetta

Violetta is the huge purple dragon found below Yvette's house.

Waking Violetta is a quest directly following Sparklies for Dragon.  In the first of three parts to this quest we must send Yvette to the Dragon Ruin at least once, find an emerald, and make an opal-button pouch at the Tailor (1 opal, 4 wool).

Buy a Bakery (18000 coin) from the marketplace, get 6 oats, and get 6 eggs from the chicken patch.

Have a blueberry patch, gather 10 blueberries from it, and make 2 blueberry tarts at your Bakery.

Dragon Ruin

The Dragon Ruin is located just south of Yvette's opal house.  You need to be at level 13 and have 4500 gold coins to spend on the land that contains Dragon Ruin.

You need 1 opal dragon horn ring (from the Jeweler), 1 pair of plain gloves (from the Tailor), and 3 plain torches.  It takes 4 hours to explore the Dragon Ruin.  You get 937xp per person that you send into the Dragon Ruin.  You also have a chance to find emeralds, midas glove, silver vault hinge, and golden vault padlock.  Of course as always... if you send in a knight you get 400 gold in addition to your other items.  Ask for knights from your alliance.

Aiding Yvette

We are told by Magnus to help out Yvette.  In the Aiding Yvette quest we will help Yvette by using the Bakery (level 14).

Part 2 requires us to collect honey from our beehive and make 2 sweetberry bars at the Trail Kitchen.

Well of Wishes

The Well of Wishes is an area of exploration that you must tend to in the Well, I'm Wishing quest by Rafael.  The plot of land that contains the Well of Wishes is located behind the embassy and costs 900 gold and level 11.

You will need 3 torches and 2 ladders to enter the Well of Wishes.  We can put in 2 heroes to explore and it takes 8 hours.  We will get 1000xp per hero we send in, and a chance to get other items such as stardust, silver hinge, and golden padlock.  If you send in a knight he will return with 100 gold.  Good Luck!

Sparklies for Dragon

Yvette's Sparklies for Dragon quest is 7 parts long!  It becomes available after her Feeling Crystalized quest.

Get opals from Yvettes house in Dragon's Roost.  Make 2 opal bracelets at the Jeweler.  This will cost you 1 opal and 10 min per bracelet.

Sparklies for Dragon part 2 requires three tasks... Expand to Myra's Wilderness Faire located in Dragon's Roost, build a jeweler, and make an opal bracelet at your jewelers.  Which you should already have a jeweler and already made an opal bracelet from the completion of part 1 of this quest.

Send Yvette to the Gateway of Luck.  Have 1 midas glove and make a golden opal necklace (1 opal, 1 midas glove, 6 hrs) at the Jeweler.

This one might take a little bit longer since you have to make 4 cheese at the Dairy Barn.  Expect to need a lot of oats as well.  Gather 6 eggs from the Chicken Patch and make a cheese omelet (1 cheese, 3 egg).

Yvette is sad :-(   To cheer her up you must send her to the Well of Wishes, find a batch of stardust there and bring it back to the Woodshop to make a stardust lantern.

Have a Tailor, sheep pasture, and make 3 pairs of plain gloves (4 wool) at the tailor.

Help Yvette impress Violetta by making a dragon horn ring at the Jewelers, getting 2 more opal, and expanding to the Dragon Ruin (level 13, 4500 gold).

Now that we have prepared to meet Violetta our new quest from Yvette will wake her up... Waking Violetta

Myra's Wilderness Faire

Myra has expanded and now has a shop in Dragon's Roost.  The land plot takes 800 gold and level 9 to buy.  The idea is the same as Myra's Forest Caravan except that the Wilderness Faire will buy different items than the caravan.

Admirable Alliances

Admirable Alliances is the quest given to you by the Knight of the Royal Dove.  It becomes available after you reach level 10.

Expand to the Embassy ruins and restore them to their former glory.  Look at the alliances that your embassy offers.

The second part of the quest is to follow... send a knight that your alliance has sent you to a place of legend.

Royal Embassy

The Royal Embassy becomes available when you reach level 10 and have bought the land that the embassy sets on.

Here you can search, browse, create alliances from the first tab.  The second tab is for looking at the top alliances on Castleville.  The third tab is any alliance requests that you might have.

Once you have signed up with an alliance or started your own, you can request knights from the other members of your alliance.  Knights are heroes that you only have for a limited amount of time and they retrieve gold coins on their exploration of places as well as contribute to item findings.

Some alliances are extremely active and if you happen to luck out and get to be in an active alliance you can ask them for items to sell you in the Seatrade and they will bend over backwards to try to help out.  Of course you must help out others as well to stay in these alliances because they don't like anyone to take advantage of their generosity.

_________________________________________________________________

The Royal Embassy no longer exists as of December 2014.  The space that formerly held the embassy now holds the Event Center.

All alliance chat and management is accessed through the alliance chat button on the right side of your game screen.  The update walk-through will show you how to navigate through the alliances.

Feeling Crystalized

The very first quest that we get from Yvette is the Feeling Crystalized quest.

By this point we know how to do all 3 of these tasks.  Get 4 oats, 2 cream from the Dairy Barn, and make 1 creamy oatmeal at the Trail Kitchen.

Yvette

Yvette seems to be of great interest to Rafael.  In fact, his quest Well, I'm Wishing requires us to rescue her from her crystal prison.  It takes 2000 gold and experience level 9 to get to the plot of land that contains her prison.

After freeing her from the crystal she reveals her land, Dragon's Roost, to us!  You can get 2 opals from her house (4 hours).  She immediately starts giving you quests, the first one being Feeling Crystalized.

Well, I'm Wishing

After the All Keyed Up quest by Rafael, we receive a new quest called Well I'm Wishing.  Theese tasks are all about rescuing Yvette and exploring Dragon's Roost.

Rescue Yvette from her crystal prison.  It takes level 9 and 2000 gold to get to her.

Once Yvette is free, we can get opals from her house (12 gold and 4 hrs for 2 opals).  We can then make an opal-studded cup at the Woodshop for 1 opal, 2 logs, and 5 minutes time.

Part two is about making oatberry bars (level 10, 2 oat, 2 blueberry, 2 min) from the Trail Kitchen.  First we must buy a blueberry patch from the Marketplace.  It takes 8 hours to build, but you get 5 blueberries once it's done building.

Go to the Well of Wishes and send in Rafael so that he can receive the Spell of Bright Light needed for this quest.  While at the Well you have a chance of getting stardust which will complete the third task.

Scrambling for Breakfast

This quest follows Eggs-istential by Magnus the Wizard.  Once again this is a good quest to do at the same time as All Keyed Up part 3 of 3 since they both require you to make 2 backwoods scrambles.  You can backwoods scrambles (5 egg, 2 log, 3 min) at the Trail Kitchen.

Royal Castle

The Royal Castle tells you what your main quests are, about your heroes, and houses your knights (level 10).

It gives you information on your heroes that will help you maximize your exploration treasures.

And the castle gives you information on knights (level 10) that you might have from joining an alliance at the Royal Embassy.  Knights always have a better chance of bringing back gold from explorations.

Eggs-istential

Eggs-istential begins after Wooden You Know It.  This is another quest from Magnus that kind of walks us along.  This is all about chickens and their eggs.

Buy a chicken patch (2500 gold) from the Marketplace, get 5 eggs from it and make 3 cheese at the Dairy Barn.  HINT: If you do this quest along with the All Keyed Up part 3 of 3, then it is much easier because you aren't having to make so much cheese.

Wooden You Know It

Wooden You Know It starts when you finish the previous quest of Oats, Oats, Hearty Oats.

This one is REALLY EASY!  Just make all these items at the Woodshop.  Viola, you're done!  On to the next... Eggs-istential.

Royal Vault

The Royal Vault is the second part of the castle that you restore at the very beginning of the game.  It holds all the items that you own.

When you first start out, your vault can hold a total of 50 items.  It can however be upgraded to hold more items.  To upgrade your vault you must have the items listed.  Silver hinges can be found at the Gateway of Luck and logs can be made at the lumber yard for 9 gold.

Gifts

Sometimes your Facebook friends that also play Castleville or your alliance members will send you free gifts.  When this happens there is a treasure chest floating in the river beside Myra's Caravan.

Click on the treasure chest and find out what you have received!  The game will then let you send a gift back to your friend.

When you want to initiate a gift give simply click on the red friends button at the top right corner of your screen.  It will bring up a list of friends that play Castleville Legends or a list of game playing friends in general and you can select your friend that you want to gift quick spells or fast-foot spells to.  You can give to the same friend once every 12 hours.

Quick Spells = You are able to use these to speed up the time of your resources
Fast-foot Spells = You are able to return from exploring a Place of Legend sooner

Wheel of Wishes

Once we reach level 8, we get to go to the Wheel of Wishes.  We are allowed one spin every day, however, if you invite your friends who don't play Casteville Legends you can get more spins.

Myra's Forest Caravan

We are introduced to Myra early in the game.  She is an old gypsy woman who is trying to keep her business afloat by buying goods from you.

She will buy your goods, but sometimes she requires more than 1 good to make the sell.  For example she will take 2 apples for 2 coins but sometimes she'll only buy 1 for 1 coin.  If you do not like an offer that she has for your goods then you can delete that offer by pressing the "x" in the top right corner of the offer.  She will take 10 minutes to come up with a different offer for you.

Even though she will change her offers, the price is still the same... below is an alphabetical pricing list.

Item = Price per item, xp earned each sell
apple = 1 gold/apple, 1xp/sell
apple oatmeal = 190 gold, 4xp
arrow = 50 gold/arrow, 1xp/sell
backwoods scramble = 280 gold, 16xp
butter = 110 gold, 16xp
cheese = 340 gold, 16xp
cheesy omelet = 680 gold, 20xp
cream = 78 gold, 12xp
creamy oatmeal = 790 gold, 12xp
dragonwing torch = 520 gold, 27xp
egg = 39 gold, 16xp
forest charm = 56 gold, 10xp
golden apple = 310 gold, 60xp
herbed cheddar cheese = 1400 gold, 44xp
herbed goat cheese = 2600 gold, 50xp
honey = 20 gold, 28xp
jade clover = 290 gold, 60xp
milk = 28 gold, 8xp
oat = 4 gold, 4xp
oatberry bar = 570 gold, 22xp
opal-studded cup = 810 gold, 20xp
stardust lantern = 2100 gold, 115xp
trail snack = 2500 gold, 50xp
wooden shield = 1800 gold, 28xp

Oats, Oats, Hearty Oats

When you've finished Skimming the Cream our next quest is Oats, Oats, Hearty Oats.

Harvest at least 6 oats (2 min for 3 oats).  Go to the Trail Kitchen to make creamy oatmeal (1 cream, 5 oats).  Sell any 5 goods to Myra.  This one is really easy... it just takes forever to do since creamy oatmeal takes an hour to make and cream is made with milk which is created by feeding cows oats.

Gateway of Luck

The Gateway of Luck is located right behind Rafael's house... we however must expand to an adjacent plot of land before we can expand to the gateway because the game doesn't allow expansions of nonadjacent land.
The land to the right of the Gateway of Luck and behind the castle requires level 7 and 250 gold (I have not reached level 7 as of yet).  But the land to the left of the gateway requires level 5 and 125 gold, so this is the route that I am purchasing.

Now we can see the requirements for getting the Gateway of Luck land plot... level 7 and 250 gold.

Once you've gotten 250 gold and level 7 by selling to Myra and exploring the Ancient Watchtower, purchase the gateway land.

The Gateway of Luck allows you to send two heroes in.  You will need 1 ladder and 1 torch, but you get 50xp for each hero you send in.  There is also a chance you find a silver vault hinge, jade clover, midas glove, and a very low chance of finding a golden vault padlock.
